Newspaper Spreads come with the territory when you’re an editor. During my time at Whitworth University, I was able to gain experience as a section editor for our award winning publication, The Whitworthian. Each week we were responsible for putting out a 16-page print publication, as well as daily online content. My skills with the Adobe Creative Suite were polished during my year as editor because of these responsibilities.
The Whitworthian Staff was praised for our hard work with a Pacemaker Award (the college equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize). We also were awarded the title of “Best Non-Daily Newspaper in the Country” by the Society of Professional Journalists.
